So, I think the hardest (and longest) part of these challenges for me has been trying to choose just the right paper and color combinations. I'm always second guessing the choices I make because I want the card to be "just so". Also, I'm still new to all of this, so I'm trying to hone my techniques, building up my supplies, finding what I like and what I don't. Sometimes, it's hard for me to get the vision of what's in my head to come out on paper, because I think my cards look unfinished or plain. Doing these challenges is good though, "Challenging" me to just keep trying.
In any case here is my card for #224. The paper and flower was from a K and Company Kit, All Occasions. I cut the blue background flower from my Cindy Loo cartridge and the cream circle from George & Basic Shapes. I also used Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick (love this color) to ink the edges. "Love" was just printed up from my computer. Typically this isn't my style (color and paper), but the card isn't for me, it's a Valentines Day card for my Mama and it's perfect for her.
